97. AFC Patton’s Natural Born World Shaker (Luke), LM, Dave Opseth

The dog was quite amped up to approach the line and would not heel when commanded to do so...

Blind: The handler gave multiple whistles and multiple casts to get the dog into the water, the dog refused and the handler chose to pick up the dog and not complete the test

96. FC-AFC Ace On The River III (Ace), LM, Peter Ketola

The dog was excited to come to the line and crept out very far, looking as if it was going to break....when the birds landed, the handler commanded the dog to heel in order to perform the blind...

Blind: Very smooth and accurate with few whistles up-front. Required several whistles at the end to hunt up the bird for completion.
Flyer: Stepped on it!!
L Ret: Dog took a great initial line, pushed hard left, even with the fire station, ...disappeared and when reappeared was hunting deep and left of the flyer, the handler blew the whistle and attempted to handle, but was unable to do so, and had to pick up the dog with out the bird.

95. Walensis’ Devil Made Me Do It (Newt), LM, Ken Steele

Blind: 6 whistles to enter the water, strong cross-wind was difficult to get good change in direction, but worked it out and completed the blind
Flyer: Was a quick retrieve
L Ret: Dog went out on a great initial line, handler lost sight of the dog, when the dog reappeared it was hunting between the guns and the handler attempted to handle, was unable to do so and opted to Pick Up the dog.

93. AFC Beaver La Bam (Beaver), LM, Bill Tidd

Completed the test in 11 minutes and 2 seconds

Blind: "Beaver" had a 4 whistle blind for an excellent retrieve!
Flyer: Front footed it!
L Ret: The dog left the mat with a good initial line, immediately gave way to the factors, got lost and went out of site, the handler attempted to handle...but was unable to do so, due to the visibility of the dog. Handler decided to Pick Up the dog with out completing the retrieve.

Conditions REPORT

The conditions have significantly changed the test. The wind is gusting out of the south moving south-west, which has produced a cross-wind factor to the test. The dogs are leaving the line pushing off of the terrain and the pond fading and sucking towards the flyers station and fading with the stiff wind where they are ending up in between the gun stations and getting lost.
The clouds have moved in and the sky is greatly overcast. The humidity has risen and become very sticky. This is causing the handlers much grief.

Good luck competitors because this is now a new test!

92. Pleasant River Sea Duck (Eider), LM, Anne Marshall

Blind: Had an exceptional blind
Flyer: The flyer went out deep, established a hunt and gradually worked his way back to retrieve the bird.
L. Ret: Dog had a good initial line, faded with the factors and ended up hunting short behind the flyer station, before the handler blew the whistle and handled the dog back to the long retired bird.

91. AFC Coolwater’s Hawkeye Legend (Legend), LM, Alexandra Washburn

Blind: The dog had a great initial line, only required a few whistles to get into the water and a few whistles to complete the blind, for a job well done.
Flyer: Was a great mark
Long Retired: Dog left the line, pushing hard left, mid-way to the long bird, took a hard right to correct his line and go into the mark at the area of the fall for a precision retrieve!!

90. FC-AFC Jet Black Bustin Thru The Brush MH (Jet), LM, Jim Powers

10 minutes and 38 seconds to complete the test

Blind:Was smooth like butter! And had very few whistles to complete!
Flyer: Had a very nice mark with a tiny area hunt
L Ret: Took a nice initial line, gently fading left just inches behind the holding blind to quickly correct, disappear and then reappear with the bird.

89. Atlastastar (Rinny), LF, Martha Blank

Blind: Handler kept a tight line with minimal whistles for a great job
Flyer: Was a great Mark!
L Ret: Dog went out bating to the left when she got just past the flyer station, made a hard left and the handler blew the whistle and handled the dog to the long retired bird

88. AFC Windy City’s Springtime (April), LF, Charlie Hines

Blind: Took 3 whistles to enter the water, she then only required 2 additional whistles to complete the blind.
Flyer: Make 2 quick loops to retrieve the bird
L Ret: Pushed off hard left, split the difference of the guns, established a hunt deep of the flyers station, and the handler blew the whistle attempted to handle and then opted to Pick Up the dog, without retrieving the long retired bird

87. FC Hunting Creek Classy Girl JH (Classy), LF, John Armstrong

Blind:lined into the water and carried original line all the way the the last  piece of land where he required only one more whistle to complete the retrieve.

86. AFC-CFC-CAFC Upon The Wings Of An Answered Prayer (Ammo), LF, Bill Petrovish

10 minutes to complete the test

85. FC-AFC KPR’s Wet Willie (Willie), LM, Jim Pickering

Blind: Required 3 whistles to get into the water, had 2 additional whistles while swimming and 2 whistles at the end for a successful blind
Flyer: Was a good accurate mark.
L Ret: The dog left straight at the fall area, held his line like a champ, entering and exiting the water where he needed, for a perfect mark.

84. FC-AFC Landover Goldendaze Yukon (Yukon), LM, Chuck Schweikert

Blind: The dog required 2 whistles to enter the channel, carried that same line through the channel, where he would require only 1 more whistle to remain online. Had a couple whistles at the end instructing the dog to hunt up the bird and complete the retrieve.
Flyer: Was a good mark!
L. Ret: The dog pushed off hard left when he left the handlers side, the dog then ended up splitting the distance between the two guns and establishing a hunt close to the old fall, when the handler opted to blow the whistle and handle the dog to the long retired bird.
