Setting Up The National AM...

"What does it take to set up the Super Bowl Event for the retriever field trial community?"

Planning for the National Amateur Retriever Championship (NARC) begins years in advance--4 years to be exact. While the NARC rotates and meets in the four time zones designated by the NARC,  the sites for the event, judges, officers and chairmen are all selected years prior to the event reaching that time zone. Now the work begins!!!

Within the National Clubs there are designated committees organized to put on the National Event such as: Hostess, Marshals, Gunners, Bird Throwers, Traffic, Grounds, Game Stewards committees.  Anyone passionate about dogs, those who love retriever sports, or a curious spectator can join a committee and experience the National first hand.  In fact, it is encouraged!  The entire National event is put together and run by all VOLUNTEERS! Over 160 volunteers have joined in to help orchestrate the 2013 NARC in Mondovi, WI.

Here is a glimpse from those involved with the National Set-Up......
